Raspberry Pi’s and Mining

RaspberryPi2In a previous post I hinted at using Raspberry Pi‘s and Linux for mining Bitcoin.

Some of you who may not be computer geeks, probably won’t know what a Raspberry Pi is, let alone how it could help you mine Bitcoins (or other Crypto-currencies).  Basically Raspberry Pi’s are like miniature motherboards which when given Debian Linux can do many different tasks, especially if you use the new Raspberry Pi 2.

The new Raspberry Pi 2 can even run Windows 10 on it and get onto the internet, has a quad core, and 1 GB RAM.  It costs about $35 for just the board.  If you want to enclose the Raspberry Pi 2 in a case and make it more like an actual computer, the entire kit for that will be about $130.00.

But when mining Bitcoins, you really probably do not need a case, or, if you will be putting many Raspberry Pi’s together to have the ability to mine with several mines at once, you might consider making your own Raspberry case which holds many at once.  Something like this:

ManyRaspberryPiCase

You’ll notice the case not only can hold about 32 Raspberry Pi‘s, but also has 4 fans inside to keep the motherboards cool.  Now, this particular case is handmade by Josh Kiepert and you can watch his video here:  https://youtu.be/i_r3z1jYHAc

Hopefully you can get some ideas from this.  Imagine if you will, having a master motherboard attached to this, plus attached to each one of these 32 Raspberry Pi‘s a large Bitcoin mine.  That is how you would structure it, and make it easy to mine large amounts of bitcoin.

Now, back to the operating system you would use, I recommend Linux, even though you could easily put Windows 10 on your Raspberry Pi’s.  This is because Linux has far less likelihood of getting viruses in it than Windows will.  But plenty of people use Windows to mine bitcoins, so don’t worry if you are using Windows.

On an upcoming blog, I will go into more detail of how to do the software side of mining bitcoins and how to set it all up.  Also, I will talk about how to chose a mining pool, which is very essential to mining bitcoins.

Bitcoin Going Up!

BitcoinPriceIndexIf any of you have been watching the Bitcoin value, you will notice that it has been going up very much over the past two weeks or so.  In some ways, this is a great thing!  In other ways, it might be not so good.

The reason I say that it might not be good news, is because if you have not invested in bitcoin yet, it will become more and more expensive to invest.  This could also be a good indication that the economy is going through tough times.  This is because as I stated in a previous blog post (from another site), the bitcoin itself seems to be stabilizing.

However, for those of you have been investing in bitcoin for a while, this is a big pay off for you.  There was a time when bitcoin was really low, especially at the beginning of its existence and if you invested then, you could be very rich in bitcoins now.  But most people invested half-way in between, and depending on when you got in, depends on how good you are doing now.

Furthermore, if you are mining Bitcoin, versus if you directly put money into bitcoin could also vary your outcome in these rising prices.

One month ago, when I began mining bitcoin for the first time, bitcoin was at $233.00 roughly.  However, today when I checked the current price of bitcoin, it is worth $262.46!  That’s about a $30 raise in price in one month!  Not bad.

That is why I’m recommending that anyone not in on Bitcoin yet, GET IN ON IT NOW!!  The main reason is because many people who have been involved in Bitcoin for quite a while predict that Bitcoin could go up to as much as $1,000.00 for just one bitcoin.  That would be 4 TIMES what it is now.

Links to My Important Bitcoin Posts

WrittingI decided, since it is highly unlikely that I will be able to access my other blog site about Bitcoins, that I will provide links in this blog to those posts.

If you want to find out the REAL potential of mining Bitcoin, come to this site:  https://bitcoinextreme.wordpress.com/2015/10/02/the-potential-of-bitcoin/

To learn some of the history of Bitcoin (one of the first Crypto-currencies) come to this site:  https://bitcoinextreme.wordpress.com/2015/10/03/the-history-of-bitcoin/

If you want to find out why I have decided to go after Bitcoin (and perhaps why you should too), come to the following site:  https://bitcoinextreme.wordpress.com/2015/10/05/why-i-decided-to-go-after-bitcoins/

If you want to learn from some of my progress (and some of my mistakes) come see this blog:  https://bitcoinextreme.wordpress.com/2015/10/05/my-progress-so-far-with-mining-bitcoins/

Litecoin is like Bitcoin and is now easily exchangeable.  Litecoin is like the silver of the Crypo-currencies where Bitcoin is like the gold version.  Find out more about Litecoin here:  https://bitcoinextreme.wordpress.com/2015/10/07/litecoin-history/

Learning more about Crypto-currencies helps you figure out if diversifying your Crypto-currencies is a good idea.  In one of my blogs, I cover 3 more crypto-currencies, Dogecoin, Namecoin, and Peercoin.  Find out more here:  https://bitcoinextreme.wordpress.com/2015/10/08/other-crypto-currencies/

Hopefully, after this, we can continue with more blog posts about Bitcoin and help each other be successful with cryptocurrencies!

To your success!

I Don’t Dare Publish Details

RaspberryPi2Yes, I had to start a new blog, because apparently I can not access my old blog.  I suspect it is because it was linked to GoDaddy and I can not currently afford to pay GoDaddy to renew all of my websites.  So, here I am. I just hope in the near future I can access my blog again and transfer my blog posts over to this new blog.

I don’t dare publish details now as to my plan on how to make huge money with bitcoin, even though I think I might have figured out a way.  I will give a hint though, you’ll need to know how to use Raspberry Pi‘s and Linux. And that is about all I can say.  Needless to say, since my husband is a computer geek, I think we will be quite successful making money with Bitcoin and other Crypto-currencies.

Well, that is all I can say for now.  I am being cryptic because I feel like there are certain forces at work trying to purposely make me unsuccessful.  Call me paranoid, but sometimes evil forces do have a way about themselves.  I hope you all stay tuned to my blogs so that we all maybe can mine bitcoins together someday.
